  1. Day 1 Arrival at Bogota

    Arrival at Bogotá

  2. Day 2 Arrival at Location

    Departure from Bogotá at 8:56 am

    Arrival at Inirida at 10:38 am

    A boat will be waiting for us at the dock to start our journey to the Mavecure Mountains (2 hours aprox)

    After lunch we will go walking or paddling (depending on the level of the water) to Las Brujas lagoon, with Tomas or Javier our indigenous guides who along the way will tell us some legends of their culture. We will return to the hotel for dinner and then to rest.

  3. Day 3 PNN Tuparro

    Early in the morning we will start our trip to the Tuparro NPP until arriving at the town of Amanaben in the Department of Vichada where we will take our breakfast, later we will sail by river Orinoco until Castillito where we will be able to observe the monument to the Virgin of Coromoto patron of the sister Republic From Venezuela, until we reach the town of Acapulco to refresh ourselves and take a short rest, we will again sail along the Orinoco River to Mantequero and begin our walk through the savannah until downstream of the Raudal de Maipures on the river Orinoco, then take our boat Downstream to go to the o PEDRO CAMEJO island where we will locate our ”base camp”, which will be in tents or hammocks, by the beach. There we will have lunch and later in the evening we will visit the Raudal de Maipures ”the eighth wonder of the world” according to Alexander Von Humboldt, and on the evening we will enjoy the exquisite seasoning of ”La Patriarca Rosita”.

  4. Day 4 Hike to Cerro Guahibo

    After breakfast we will climb Cerro Guahibo for a wonderful view of the National Natural Park Tuparro, it’s savannahs, jungles and rivers, then visit the indigenous cemetery. After lunch we will make our presentation in the visitor center of the Park where we will learn more about the activities that take place there, we will go by boat on the Tuparro River until it’s first flow, there we will have time for a splash and to appreciate this spectacular distant, remote landscape. We’ll descend again by the river in vests (optional) to our camp on the banks of the Orinoco.

  5. Day 5 Raudal de Maipures Exploration

    After breakfast we will cross the Orinoco river by boat to a place from where we will walk through the savannah upstream of the Raudal de Maipures on the Orinoco river (Approximately 2 hours), to take our boat upstream to the mouth of the beautiful Caño Mataben (2 hours) where we will pause to take a snack and a refreshing bath on its banks. Upon returning of our trip, we will pass by the town of Amanaven and cross the river Guaviare to the ruins of the military base of Maviso where we will take our lunch and a bathe in the cold and red waters of the Atabapo River and then go to the city of Inírida where we We will install in the comfortable Hotel Toninas, to later dine and take a well deserved rest.

  6. Day 6 Cerros de Mavecure

    In the morning, we will sail by Inírida river up to Cerros de Mavecure, impressive rocks in the middle of the Amazon jungle, bordered by the serpentine river Inírida, according to the weather we will begin our ascent to Pajarito hill, and at the descent we will go to the Canoe camp to take a short swim and hike to the community of Venado for lunch. We will have a free time to visit the community of Venado and its friendly inhabitants, then we will go to the cold water and red wine colored (product of the leaves of the trees of the jungle) waters of Caño San Joaquín to take a bath and return to The city of Inirida and stay again in the Hotel. 

  7. Day 7 Amazonian Savannahs

    After breakfast we will visit the savannahs of the Inirida flower, where we will be able to experience in its natural state this invaluable endemic resource of the area, we will ascend Vitina Hill where we will have a spectacular view of the Amazonian savannahs, the transition from Orinoco to Amazonia and the last view of Mavecure. If the water level is appropriate we will bathe in Caño Vitina, then we will return to the Hotel to have lunch and transfer to the airport to take our flight scheduled for 3:30 pm. For some of our guests, this might be the end of your adventure with us and you will return to Bogotá and spend the night at the hotel. Others might continue onto further adventures!
